POV: you’re making room for fun
This month we’re writing anticipation lists, leaning into imperfection and letting curiosity lead.
Lauren’s POV on looking forward:
January hits everyone differently. As this is also my birthday month, it always feels like a double new chapter for me.
I think there’s something powerful about using the start of the new year not just to set goals, but to map out what you’re genuinely looking forward to. Goals help you grow, but having fun keeps you going (there’s a TED Talk below on exactly this). And honestly? With everything going on in the world, a little intentional joy feels more necessary than ever.
So this year, write a different kind of list, not what you should do, but what you want to experience. The adventures, big and small. The quality time that feels like coming home. The surprises you leave room for.
We’re ready to keep sharing our monthly POV with you on the things we’re looking forward to in 2026. So let’s conquer the chaos and cut to the chase, here is a list of tips from our team to yours…

What are we noticing?
The culture focus is shifting upward: statement gloves, sculptural jewellery, and expressive details are taking centre stage.
Fun fashion is back. After an era of pared-back minimalism, we’re seeing a return to colour, layering, and bold prints. The ’80s aesthetic resurfaces with maximalism, exaggerated tailoring, strong shoulders, and unapologetic glamour.

Anti-AI, pro-imperfection: an emerging movement pushing against hyper-polish and automation, favouring human flaws and intuition instead. Charli’s launching on Substack feels very much part of this shift.
What are we doing?
Staying in (on purpose)
Good films, quiet nights, and cinematic stories that spark conversation. Sentimental Value is still lingering; another big recommendation is Harris Dickinson’s writer-director debut, Urchin.
What are we reading?
Sanne van Rij’s Rio de Janeiro tips in Vogue, the perfect prep to Lauren’s February escape.
We’re deep into Gatekept Magazine, The Chic Industrial Complex, a critical lens on taste, power, and aesthetics today.
What are we shopping?
A new-year planner that leaves room for the unplanned: an undated A5 planner that encourages time blocking and intentional emptiness.
Because if yellow is everywhere this season, it might as well start on the sofa with your cushion (and it makes staying in even better).

What are we listening to?
Leon Bridges on repeat.
Catherine Price’s TED Talk on why having fun is the secret to a healthier life.
A soft-spot throwback playlist. 2016 radio hits included.
What are we working on?
Wrapping up the fourth Cinéart FilmClub: Sirât. Interested in working with clients like Cinéart? We have an Account Manager (Brands & PR) position open at L’AGENCY.
Strategy sessions with talent, circling one recurring theme: less is more. Finding your niche, owning who you are as a brand, and building from there instead of chasing everything at once. Want to work with our talents portfolio? We have a Project Manager (Talents) position open at L’AGENCY.
What are we eating?Whipped tahini with tomatoes in all different colours.
Koeah Soto Ayam, tasted like a warm hug on a snowy Amsterdam day.

What are we engaging with?
Julie Kegels’ POV: thoughtful, observant, quietly sharp.

SubwayTakes: everyday conversations turned into cultural mirrors. And while we’re on the subway, we’ve got to hand it to another trend: SubwayHands.
Where are we going?
The time has come: the end of Dry January will be celebrated at Rebel Wines.
